The opportunity
Lead the design, delivery, and growth of overhead transmission line projects within WSP's Transmission and Distribution business.
Shape technical excellence, team capability, market presence, and delivery across major Australian energy programs.
Collaborate nationally with clients and project teams during Australia's energy transition.
What you will do
- Lead overhead transmission line projects across design, planning, and execution.
- Provide technical and people leadership, mentoring, and capability uplift.
- Ensure compliance with standards for design, testing, commissioning, and SHEQ.
- Oversee the asset lifecycle from planning through construction, operation, and maintenance.
- Build client relationships, lead proposals, and support strategic growth and project delivery.
- Promote innovation, safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
About you
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Bring Transmission and Distribution experience with Australian market expertise.
- Demonstrate leadership across people, projects, and mentoring or coaching.
- Have a strong background in overhead transmission line design and engineering.
- Bring business development, proposal, project delivery, and commercial experience.
- Engineering registration is preferred, or willingness to obtain it.
- Demonstrate analytical, communication, collaboration, resilience, and priority-management skills.
Technical tools
- Experience with PLS-CADD, TOWER, or POLE is highly regarded.
How you will work
- The role is ideally based in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, or Canberra.
- Work includes a mix of office, site, and hybrid arrangements with local and national project teams.
