Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 10+ engineers who perform ergonomic virtual assessments and validate ergonomic standards and requirements for all global product programs.
• Establish bench strength by recruiting, training, and developing engineers to meet business objectives, while ensuring diversity and inclusion.
• Drive a safety culture by adhering to GM Global Workplace Safety Systems.
• Contribute to strategic 3–5-year planning and develop the team from both organizational and technical perspectives.
• Work with leadership to set and drive annual business objectives; set individual and team priorities, and regularly review and approve team members’ work.
• Ensure team deliverables are executed on time and that leadership is informed of status and any issues.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives by utilizing feedback and metrics to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Establish performance goals, conduct reviews, coach and mentor team members, and provide candid and constructive feedback.
• Manage team workload, support resource planning, and forecast and track budgets.
