Engineering Manager (Desktop Native)

10-12 years of demonstrated experience leading engineering teams or complex cross-functional product engineering initiatives within a software engineering organization.

2+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including 1:1s, performance management & career development.

Experience working in globally distributed Product Engineering, GCC, or Center of Excellence environments along with managing distributed or cross-regional teams, including working across time zones.

Proven ability to successfully lead delivery across engineering organizations and influence multiple stakeholders.

Strong understanding of Agile software development, modern engineering practices, and product delivery lifecycles.

Experience in Engineering Management, Technical Program Management, Engineering Delivery, Product Operations, Design Program Management, or similar leadership roles.

Ability to communicate effectively with Engineering, Product, Design, and executive stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

A coaching-oriented leadership style with demonstrated experience developing high-performing teams.

Strong technical background in CI/CD, automation & release engineering - sufficient to engage credibly in technical discussions and step in hands-on when necessary.

Excellent communication skills, with experience representing a team's work to leadership and stakeholders outside the team.

Prior experience managing or working closely with BRE, SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering teams.

Strong Experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.

Formal management training or certifications preferred.

Experience with specific tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar project management platforms preferred with AI tooling for development and workflow support (Claude Code or similar).
