Relay is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Activation team to lead delivery, team operations, and technical strategy for the customer-facing journey from registration to first transaction.

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of engineering initiatives, ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and business goals
- Establish and maintain effective engineering processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design reviews
- Partner with senior leadership to shape and execute the technical vision
- Work closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with user needs and business objectives
- Build and grow a high performing engineering team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
- Foster a collaborative, feedback driven environment that supports continuous learning and professional development
Requirements
- 5+ years of full stack software development experience, ideally within a high growth B2B SaaS or fintech environment
- 1 3 years in a people management role
- Strong technical foundation and proven track record of shipping high quality products
- Passionate about building and scaling engineering teams, and invested in growing and developing people
- Clear and effective communication, calm and clarity in ambiguity and change
- Pragmatic decision maker with customer centric mindset
- Creative and resourceful, embracing experimentation and AI to solve complex problems

Our Compensation Approach
- The annual salary range for this role is CAD 207,000 to CAD 253,000.
- Typical starting salary is CAD 230,000 for candidates who demonstrate full readiness.
