About the Role
Brunel seeks an Engineering Lead (Piping - Field) for a major LNG project in Qatar. The role oversees onshore contractor piping design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.

Responsibilities
- Oversee onshore Contractor in delivery of all aspects of Piping design, equipment, materials, technical and execution definition, including planning and execution of detailed design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Ensure technical requirements fully comply with project requirements and consider full production life cycle.
- Provide Piping Engineering knowledge, design, quality assurance and expertise while managing the Piping team.
- Direct preparation and stewardship of Piping Engineering scope of work in contract, advise and recommend design procedures to optimize project cost and schedule.
- Interact with Engineering Team to complete multi discipline engineering activities.
- Manage Contractor's Piping Field Engineering activities including validation of personnel, tools, and adherence to project objectives.
- Assess and validate Contractor capability and recommend additional technical support to address gaps.
- Manage technical attachments and scope descriptions for relevant contracts.
- Responsible for Piping Field Engineering schedule and related milestones, provide data for monthly progress reporting.
- Develop, review and amend policies and procedures to ensure Piping Field engineering references are up to date.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years experience in Piping Engineering roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry
- 1 year's experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor / subcontractors / service / vendor personnel
- Preferable Field experience in a major LNG Project
- Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore LNG facilities and utility systems design, construction and operations
- Excellent written and oral English skills
- Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills
- Strong technical, prioritization and management skills
- Good communication, influencing and interface skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs

Job Overview

- Assess and validate Contractor capability in providing all contract documents, progress measurement and reporting.
- Manage technical attachments and scope descriptions for relevant contracts.
- Responsible for Piping Field Engineering schedule and related milestones.
- Develop, review and amend various policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years experience in Piping Engineering roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry
