Engineering Apprentice

Assist engineers with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.

Support breakdown repairs to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.

Learn how to fault-find on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automated systems.

Assist with equipment inspections and condition monitoring activities.

Support machine changeovers and production start-up activities.

Help maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Participate in engineering improvement projects.

Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Support waste reduction and energy-saving initiatives.

Assist with implementing engineering best practices and 5S standards.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.

Wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Comply with food safety, hygiene and quality requirements.

Support risk assessments and safe working practices.

Report hazards, near misses and safety concerns promptly.

Attend college/university/apprenticeship training as required.

Complete all coursework, assignments and assessments on time.

Build knowledge of engineering principles, maintenance techniques and manufacturing processes.
