Engineer/ Principal Engineer Systems

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineer/ Principal Engineer Systems to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida .

The Principal Engineer / Engineer Systems will perform requirements analysis and requirements verification activities.

We are seeking a dynamic Systems Engineer (SE) to provide technical support to a high visibility capability upgrade program. The successful candidate will coordinate with all SE disciplines—Safety, Requirements & Verification, Specialty Engineering, etc. —towards ensuring the program goals are appropriately met for Requirements & Verification. This role demands a technically driven and organized individual, whom supports the overall goals of the team and program.

Roles and Responsibilities will include:

Support Spec Development (to include creation of verification statements)

Support internal (NGAS) technical meetings

Requirements & Verification Management (DOORS)/JIRA

Ensure requirements are captured, traced, and verified throughout the lifecycle.

Participate in working group discussions with government customers

Must have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a Master's Degree and 0 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering.

Must have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a Master's Degree and 3 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a Ph.D. and 1 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering.
