Research on innovative technologies at the physical layer for advancing 5G, 6G and beyond

System level design, analysis, modelling, simulation and prototyping of wireless radio systems and sub-systems

Radio algorithms design and simulation for advanced wireless radio access technologies

Drive and guide the implementations of radio algorithms in hardware and software

Monitoring the state-of-the-art technologies in academia and industry, innovate and validate the new technology ideas through analysis, simulation and prototyping

Support in tasks related to working groups of standardization organizations such as 3GPP, IEEE, and others

Stay abreast of the current status and new trends in research and development of advanced radio access technologies

Generate invention disclosures and support patent applications

The total target annual compensation (based on 2,080 hours per year) ranges from $104,000 to $154,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.

Ph.D in wireless telecommunications (such as information theory, digital signal processing, channel coding, MIMO systems, beamforming, resource allocation)

Strong technical expertise in wireless radio access air interface design, physical layer algorithms design and cross-layer optimization

Demonstrated ability in designing end-to-end link-level/system-level simulation tools for the performance evaluation of wireless communication systems

Strong mathematical/analytical skills

Strong C/C++ programming skills
