Job Summary
The PAC Service Engineer is responsible for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer support for Precision Air Conditioning (PAC) systems and associated cooling equipment. The role requires ensuring maximum equipment uptime, meeting SLA commitments, and providing excellent customer service at data centers, telecom sites, IT facilities, and commercial establishments.
Key Responsibilities Installation & Commissioning
Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of PAC units and associated cooling systems.
Verify site readiness and ensure compliance with engineering drawings and safety requirements.
Conduct performance testing and prepare commissioning reports.
Coordinate with project teams, customers, and subcontractors during project execution.
Preventive Maintenance
Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities for PAC units, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, condensers, CDU, FWU, and related systems.

Inspect compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, control panels, sensors, and refrigerant circuits.
Submit maintenance reports and recommendations for improving equipment reliability.
Breakdown & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and rectify faults in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control systems.
Analyze alarms and operational abnormalities using controller logs and monitoring systems.
Ensure timely closure of breakdown calls as per SLA commitments.
Support emergency and critical site requirements during breakdown situations.
Customer Support
Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
Maintain professional communication during service visits.
Ensure customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
Prepare service reports and obtain customer sign-off upon activity completion.
Spare Parts & Inventory Management
Identify and recommend replacement parts and consumables.
Maintain service inventory and tools in good condition.
Support quotation preparation for repairs and spare replacement requirements.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines.
Ensure proper usage of PPE during service activities.
Maintain compliance with customer safety regulations and permit systems.
Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.
Required Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related field.
ITI (RAC/Electrical) with relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience
2 to 8 years of experience in HVAC, Precision Cooling, or Critical Cooling Systems.
Experience in data centers, telecom infrastructure, IT facilities, healthcare facilities, or commercial buildings preferred.
Technical Skills
Good understanding of refrigeration cycle and HVAC principles.
