Role Summary
The Global Product Operations team supports global digital products through application L2 and L3 support, infrastructure maintenance and deployments.
The role focuses on support for a Java-based medical application.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for a Java-based medical application.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and resolve application errors.
- Work with cross-functional teams to investigate, document and resolve user concerns.
- Collaborate with R&D, DevOps, third parties, Scrum and delivery teams, and investigation teams.
- Apply ITIL processes throughout the ticket lifecycle.
- Balance workloads to meet SLAs, deployments and project milestones.
- Drive automation and continuous improvement.
- Document processes and monitor application performance metrics.
- Perform memory utilization, thread and transaction analysis.
General Qualifications
- Two to three or more years of overall experience.
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience in an application support organization.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work.
- Ability to work as a self-motivated team member.
- Commitment to continuous learning and keeping current with technology.
Tools and Technology
- Two to three years of relevant experience with AWS, Liferay, MQ Series, Oracle RDBMS, Oracle GoldenGate, Dynatrace or Splunk.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, including Red Hat, CentOS or Ubuntu.
- Hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, web services and MVC portals.
- Experience supporting Java-based applications.
- Proficiency with SQL queries.
- Medical industry exposure is desired but not required.
