The Cisco IIoT team develops Industrial IoT switching and routing products.
The role combines large-company resources with a smaller-team product development environment.
Your Impact
- Design and develop IIoT hardware platforms and hardware-software integration.
- Develop control plane and data plane software for IIoT switching and routing products.
- Develop BSPs, device drivers, and kernel modules.
- Analyze requirements and create software designs and functional specifications.
- Code and unit-test software components with white-box testing and automation.
- Triage, debug, and identify root causes for simulations, software bring-up, and customer failures.
- Contribute innovative ideas that may support patents and intellectual-property value.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 1–3 years of experience, or master's degree with 1–2 years of experience, in Computer Science, EE/ECE, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C/C++.
- Strong understanding of Linux, RTOS, or Unix and experience with the Linux kernel and device drivers.
- Experience developing software or firmware for networking equipment.
- Experience with debugging and verification methodologies.
- Experience using AI tools for software development.
