Job Overview

CFHELMETS LLC is looking for an Embedded Hardware/PCB Designer Engineer with 2-3 years of experience in schematic design and multi-layer PCB layout. The role involves circuit design, PCB design with common embedded interfaces, and knowledge of signal integrity and EMI/EMC considerations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and layout of multi-layer PCBs
  • Circuit design involving microcontrollers, power management, and analog/digital components
  • Design of PCBs with common embedded interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN, RS-485
  • Integrating and validating Sensors, Wireless modules (Wi-Fi, BLE, GSM), Power supplies (DC-DC converters, LDOs, battery charging circuits)
  • Component selection, BOM optimization, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) practices
  • Using lab equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers
  • Soldering/rework techniques for prototype

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in schematic design and multi-layer PCB layout
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one industry-standard EDA tool: Altium, OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, KiCad, or Eagle
  • Circuit design involving microcontrollers, power management, and analog/digital components
  • Design of PCBs with common embedded interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN, RS-485
  • Understanding of Signal integrity, Impedance control, EMI/EMC considerations, Grounding and power plane separation
  • Experience integrating and validating Sensors, Wireless modules (Wi-Fi, BLE, GSM), Power supplies (DC-DC converters, LDOs, battery charging circuits)
  • Component selection, BOM optimization, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) practices
  • Knowledge in using lab equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers
  • Basic knowledge of soldering/rework techniques for prototype
