The Opportunity
The Electronics Support Engineer provides technical support for the Company's electronic products and systems.
Key responsibilities include product testing and validation, fault diagnosis, technical investigations, manufacturing support, and the resolution of customer and internal technical enquiries.
The role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Sales functions to support the delivery, performance and ongoing development of electronic products, and provides technical support during customer visits and technical discussions where specialist product knowledge is required.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support Provide technical support to customers, distributors and internal departments regarding product operation, application and installation. Investigate and resolve product-related technical issues arising from manufacturing, field service or customer installations. Support customer visits, site surveys and technical meetings alongside Sales and other AMOT personnel as required. Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, product literature and customer-facing technical information. Act as a point of contact for technical enquiries requiring engineering input.

Essential
Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Practical experience of electronic testing, fault finding and troubleshooting.
Good understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
Experience using electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators.
Knowledge of electronic product compliance requirements, including Electrical Safety (LVD) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness and ability to undertake occasional UK and international travel, including overnight stays. Travel will primarily involve accompanying Sales and other AMOT colleagues to support customer visits and technical discussions.
Desirable
Experience within industrial instrumentation, process control, engine protection or related industrial sectors.
Familiarity with hazardous area equipment and ATEX/IECEx requirements.
Experience supporting electronic products within a manufacturing environment.
Experience of CE/UKCA conformity assessment and technical documentation.
Experience with automated or computer-controlled test systems.
Customer-facing technical support or field service experience.
