Electronic Maintenance Technician

• Certificates/Licenses: Electronics Technician Diploma from a recognized institution or Canadian military equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on field experience maintaining electronic systems. Proficiency with general electronic test and repair equipment. Extensive internal training program provided.
• Skills: Expertise in data communications, satellite communication systems, and video monitoring systems. Proficient with tools and equipment, including spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, reference generators, and BER test units. Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
• Cross-Cultural Skills: Must be willing and able to work in a cross-cultural environment while supporting Nasittuq’s mission and commitment to Inuit employment.
• Remote Operations: Ability to work under physically demanding and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a Fall Arrest Harness, as required
• Ability to work effectively in remote northern conditions and live in remote camp environments
• Ability to commit to working rotational shifts on a consistent basis
• Experience working in a remote camp setting with limited access to resources is an asset.

• Rotation & Overtime: 6 weeks in/6 weeks out rotation, 48 hours per week, with overtime paid at 1.5x base rate. Paid travel days (up to 2 days) and all travel costs covered.
