About the Role
Vertiv is looking for an Electrical Testing Technician to perform inspection activities on incoming materials, in-process checks, and final inspection for switchgear. You will ensure quality consistency, document results, and support QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities
- Perform inspection activities relating to incoming materials like copper, breakers, in process inspection, final inspection, pre dispatch and dispatch inspection
- Ensure conduct of verification activities for 1st off inspection and in process checks on all processes
- Perform hourly checks on defined critical processes to ensure quality consistency
- Full time inspection focus on assigned area covering 100% quality checks as per established checkpoints
- Support in process checks during work in progress activity by production members
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; inputting data into quality database
- Identify issues related to quality, health and safety and environmental noncompliance and report
- Keep measurement equipment operating by following instructions; performing timely calibration
- Maintain company’s interest in production schedule and fabrication quality
- Advise managers on application of industry standards
- Maintain QA/QC records for tracking of inspection activities and material traceability
- Attend QA/QC meetings and prepare meeting notes
Requirements
- Mechanical/Electrical diploma
- Minimum 3 4 years’ experience on switchgear
- Technically strong in Electrical concepts
- Strong knowledge in QMS, EMS & OHSAS
- Advanced computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership skills

Job Description

- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
- Identify issues related to quality, health and safety and environmental noncompliance and make the necessary report.
- Keeps measurement equipment’s operating by following operating instructions; performing timely calibration, calling for repairs.
- Maintain the company’s interest in the production schedule and fabrication quality.
- Advise managers and supervisors on application of industry standards with emphasis on expediting the completion of fabrication and maintaining of fabrication plans.
- Maintain QA/QC records as necessary for tracking of all inspection activities and material traceability.
- Attend QA/QC meetings and prepare meeting notes as needed.
Qualification
- Mechanical/Electrical diploma.
- Minimum 3 4 Years’ Experience On Switchgear.
- Technically strong in Electrical concepts.
- Strong knowledge in QMS, EMS & OHSAS.
- Advanced Computer skills.
- Excellent Communicator.
- Leadership skills.
