Commissioning Activities
- Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, UPS and DC systems, generators, and control panels.
- Assist with loop checking, continuity, insulation resistance, functional, energization, start-up, performance, and reliability testing.
- Execute procedures, test plans, and checklists, and lead client technical walkdowns while recording punch-list items.
Testing and Troubleshooting
- Verify installations against approved drawings, specifications, and standards, including cable, megger, grounding, and protection relay testing.
- Inspect equipment, record test results, diagnose faults, support maintenance, and coordinate integrated testing with other disciplines.
- Assist in resolving commissioning punch-list items and monitor commissioning data.
Documentation and Safety
- Prepare commissioning records, test reports, daily progress reports, as-built documentation, and handover dossiers.
- Review drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and cable schedules.
- Follow HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, safe isolation, LOTO, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or technical certification in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Experience with MV/LV electrical systems and industrial automation environments is required.
- Experience in SWRO, water treatment, power generation, or industrial process facilities is highly preferred.
- Additional commissioning certifications, including LOTO or AEP/SAEP, are advantageous.
Technical Equipment
- Testing equipment includes insulation resistance tools, CPC100, CIBANO Kit, Hypot Kit, CT analyzer, and CMC Kit.
- Systems include transformers, switchgear, MCCs, distribution panels, VFDs, soft starters, UPS and DC systems, batteries, protection relays, motors, and starters.
Compensation
- Pay is stated as starting from QAR 1.00 per month.
Work Location
- The work location is stated as in person.
