Role Description
The Electrical Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Simaisma, A Murwab Resort.
The role covers routine and preventive electrical maintenance across resort villas, public areas, and facilities.
The technician will install, inspect, test, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
The role includes service requests, troubleshooting, maintenance records, safety compliance, energy efficiency, and support for upgrades and refurbishment projects.
Core Activities
- Perform routine and preventive electrical maintenance across resort villas, public areas, and facilities.
- Install, inspect, test, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Respond to service requests and troubleshoot faults in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and follow safety and regulatory standards.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and support energy efficiency initiatives.
- Assist with periodic upgrades and refurbishment projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in electrical maintenance and handling electrical equipment in hospitality or similar environments.
- Solid knowledge of electricity principles and practical applications in building and facility systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and system issues.
- Background in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, with relevant certifications or training.
- Diploma or technical qualification in electrical technology or equivalent.
- Local licensing or certification is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and local electrical codes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and manuals and use testing tools and measurement instruments.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Previous hotel, resort, or facilities maintenance experience is preferred.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations.
