Electrical Technical Engineer

Job Summary

Project Responsibilities

• Manage and liaise with MEP coordinators, the main contractor technical team, consultants, and related stakeholders.
• Ensure electrical shop drawings comply with design drawings, specifications, project details, local authorities, and applicable standards.
• Ensure drawing submissions meet target schedules and required quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and support stakeholder satisfaction.
• Guide technical engineers and draftsmen through work activity management.
• Assign targets and allocate responsibilities to team members.
• Review and approve electrical shop drawings, design calculations, material technical submittals, and method statements.
• Liaise with other technical departments for reviews and approvals.
• Support HSE initiatives, safety awareness, incident reporting, and resolution.

Knowledge and Certifications

• Strong knowledge of the construction field, electrical codes and standards, NFPA, and local regulations.
• UPDA Certified Engineer or certification with attestation is required.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required for success in the role.

Experience and Education

• Minimum 8 years of work experience, including 5 years of relevant experience.
• Two years of GCC experience is a plus.
• Professional degree in MMUP Engineer Registration through UPDA.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Technical Competencies

• Electrical load diagrams, schedules, and calculations at level 4.
• Electrical power design at level 4.
• Electrical wiring at level 4.
• ELV cabling at level 4.
• Voltage drop calculation at level 4.
• Competencies include agility, AI fluency, leadership, quality, and resilience.
