Role overview

Serve as the technical authority for electrical engineering aspects of bridge, highway, interchange, and transportation corridor projects.

Provide expertise during design review, construction supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Technical leadership

  • Act as the lead Electrical Subject Matter Expert for the client.
  • Provide technical guidance to project management, design, construction, and stakeholder teams.
  • Review electrical designs, specifications, calculations, deliverables, and technical reports.
  • Resolve complex technical challenges and support technical governance reviews.

Infrastructure systems

  • Cover bridge lighting, power distribution, monitoring power, obstruction lighting, emergency systems, and movable bridge systems.
  • Cover roadway lighting, ITS power, variable message signs, traffic signals, utility corridors, tunnels, and underpasses.
  • Support pumping stations, SCADA-connected systems, fire alarms, generators, UPS, landscape, and irrigation systems.

Design and construction

  • Review concept, preliminary, detailed, and IFC electrical deliverables.
  • Coordinate interfaces with civil, structural, mechanical, utilities, ITS, traffic, and architectural disciplines.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and electrical installations.
  • Resolve construction interfaces and ensure compliance with approved designs and quality requirements.

Commissioning and assurance

  • Lead lighting review, commissioning, and performance verification activities.
  • Coordinate utility approvals and integration into project schedules and construction planning.
  • Lead testing, commissioning, system integration, handover, and asset transition.
  • Review ITPs, inspections, audits, NCRs, corrective actions, and technical risk assessments.
  • Promote safe, sustainable, reliable, maintainable, and energy-efficient electrical solutions.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • A relevant master’s degree and professional accreditation such as CEng or PE are preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of electrical engineering experience in major infrastructure projects.
  • At least 10 years supporting bridge, highway, transportation, or urban infrastructure developments.
  • GCC or Saudi Arabia experience is highly desirable.
