This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor’s competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence.
This position serves as a Discipline Lead Material Controller on assigned projects of difficult complexity and/or Multi Discipline Lead Material Control Coordinator on projects of difficult complexity.
Displays advanced knowledge of Fluor’s practices and guidelines.
Supports and coordinates electrical material control activities across engineering, procurement, and construction, including material take-offs, Bills of Material, RFQs, purchase order support, expediting, field inquiries, and material status reporting.
Maintains project material data using material management software and applies working knowledge of material attributes, standard installation details, discipline drawings, key quantity reporting, and the Engineering Responsibility Matrix; experience with MaterialManager℠ (MATMAN), UNISON data standards, or similar systems is considered an asset.
Assists with project setup and execution by supporting electrical material catalogues, standard details, composites, business rules, 3D/2D material downloads, SEL, AREVA, or similar design software packages, MDU setup, dashboards, forecasting tools, quantity tracking, and progress reporting.
Coordinates with engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, suppliers, and clients to support timely material availability, construction readiness, issue resolution, and accurate reporting.
Contributes to material control plans, logistics procedures, estimates, schedules, forecasts, trends, dashboards, and quality checks while demonstrating attention to detail, sound judgment, follow-through, and continuous improvement.
