Job Summary
Khatib & Alami is seeking a qualified Electrical Inspector for its Construction Supervision team on an infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi.
The role inspects and monitors electrical works for compliance with contract specifications, approved drawings, project quality standards, and Abu Dhabi authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review contract documents, technical specifications, approved drawings, method statements, and HSE requirements.
- Inspect electrical works on site for compliance with specifications, approved shop drawings, Abu Dhabi regulations, and international standards.
- Monitor contractor activities through inspections, testing, and verification against QA/QC requirements.
- Witness testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
- Process Inspection Requests and coordinate approvals with the Resident Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineer, and discipline engineers.
- Review materials delivered to site against approved material submittals and project specifications.
- Maintain daily site records covering manpower, equipment, work progress, and site activities.
- Record observations, non-conformances, corrective actions, and construction progress in inspection reports.
- Verify completed-work measurements and quantities for progress reporting and payment purposes.
- Monitor HSE compliance and coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
