Overview

In this role within the Transmission & Distribution department, you will lead the electrical engineering scope for high-voltage substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV).

You will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence, health & safety compliance, and financial performance throughout design and construction supervision, while coordinating closely with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of electrical engineering for substation projects during design and construction phases
  • Supervise and oversee technical works for high-voltage substations on behalf of the client
  • Ensure construction activities strictly follow approved designs and specifications
  • Identify, report, and resolve non-conformance issues
  • Plan, organize, and supervise engineering and inspection activities
  • Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards across all project stages
  • Manage client and stakeholder interfaces, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships
  • Review, verify, and close out installed quantities
  • Prepare progress reports and provide technical recommendations as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on substation projects in the UAE

Technical Profile

  • Strong expertise in high-voltage substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV)
  • Proven experience in site supervision, project management, and construction monitoring
  • Knowledge of utility requirements, contract procedures, and QA/QC standards

Soft Skills

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong coordination abilities with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience working with major UAE utilities such as TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA, or similar entities
