Job Summary
The Electrical Designer’s primary function is to design, plan, research, evaluate and test electrical equipment and systems and to provide full cycle electrical designs and drawings from concept to completed product. The Electrical designer will work closely with the Electrical Design Supervisor to ensure successful project designs.
Job Responsibilities
- 1. Evaluate electrical and electromechanical project requirements and create designs that meet project success criteria.
- 2. Design of control panels and system conduit/hardware for
- 3. Develop electrical control systems, control panels and other related electrical hardware products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
- 4. Produce detailed specifications, drawing packages & Bill of Materials.
- 5. Research and ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and regulations.
- 6. Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- 7. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- 8. Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes that conform to AVL ISO quality procedures.
- 9. Work well with other Professionals within and outside the Engineering Department.
