An exciting opportunity for a commercially driven Ecommerce Manager with strong experience across ecommerce trading, inventory, visual merchandising, buying and digital marketing.
The Ecommerce Manager is a core part of the Ingenuity client services team, with end-to-end responsibility for ecommerce trading, commercial performance and execution across a client account.
This is a high-ownership role that sits at the intersection of ecommerce trading, buying, merchandising, inventory and marketing . You’ll use data and commercial insight to make decisions that maximise sales and margin, ensuring the right products are presented to customers at the right time, supported by the right marketing activity and aligned to stock availability.
You’ll own the trading calendar, translate buying and product strategy into compelling on-site visual merchandising, monitor inventory and sell-through, coordinate marketing activity across multiple channels, and identify opportunities to maximise margin while reducing aged stock and returns.
You’ll work closely with buying, category, merchandising, operations, creative and channel specialists, acting as the key point of coordination to ensure commercial priorities are reflected consistently across the customer journey.

Proven experience in ecommerce trading, ecommerce management, merchandising or a similar commercially focused role, ideally within a fast-paced retail, D2C, marketplace or managed services environment.
Strong understanding of inventory management and ecommerce trading , including stock cover, sell-through, availability, product lifecycle and aged stock.
Demonstrable experience working closely with buying, category or merchandising teams and using their insight to influence ecommerce activity.
Experience with visual merchandising , including translating product and brand priorities into effective onsite presentation, taxonomy, navigation and content.
Experience analysing returns data and proactively implementing changes to reduce return rates.
Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of margin, COS, promotional mechanics and profitability .
Able to connect inventory position with marketing activity and make informed decisions around where traffic and investment should be directed.
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including SEO, PPC, Paid Social, CRM and Affiliates , with the ability to coordinate channel activity against wider trading priorities.
Data-literate and analytically confident, with experience using ecommerce analytics and reporting tools such as GA4 and comparable platforms.
Comfortable working with large datasets and turning trading, customer, product and inventory data into clear commercial actions.
Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to own initiatives from planning through to delivery and measurement.
Excellent communicator with proven experience managing multiple stakeholders, including buying teams, vendors, clients and internal specialists.
Natural problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
Experience managing or mentoring junior team members is desirable.
