Location and School

  • Etqan Global Academy (EGA), Doha, Qatar
  • Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit an Early Years Teacher to join EGA
  • EGA is a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar

The Role

  • Planning and delivering engaging, play based and inquiry led learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP Early Years framework
  • Creating and maintaining a nurturing, safe and stimulating learning environment where all children feel valued and inspired
  • Assessing and tracking children's development using observations and portfolio evidence; using this to inform next steps
  • Building strong, collaborative partnerships with parents and families through regular communication and engagement
  • Contributing to the planning, reflection and review of units of inquiry in collaboration with the Early Years team
  • Promoting the IB learner profile, international mindedness and the PYP attitudes in all aspects of classroom practice
  • Supporting children's wellbeing, independence and social emotional development
  • Contributing positively to the wider EGA school community, including CPD, school events and improvement activities

The Successful Candidate will possess

  • A recognised teaching qualification in Early Years, primary or early childhood education (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching in an Early Years setting with children aged 3 6, ideally within an IB or international school
  • Knowledge of the IB PYP Early Years framework or equivalent inquiry based early years curriculum
  • A strong understanding of child development theory and play based, child initiated learning approaches
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, nurturing approach to working with young children and families
  • A commitment to inclusive practice and the wellbeing of all children
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection
  • International school experience desirable
