At Kids & Company, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Early Childhood Educator (Level 2 or 3) to join our team at our Central Edmonton location. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about supporting children's growth and development, demonstrates empathy and professionalism, and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
With over 150 childcare centres across Canada and the USA, we are continuously growing and offering exciting opportunities for career development and advancement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
- Implement engaging and developmentally appropriate programming based on children's interests and needs.
- Support children's emotional, physical, social, and cognitive development.
- Conduct attendance tracking and health and safety checks.
- Collaborate with families and external professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists, as required.
- Support children through daily routines and transitions.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta licensing regulations and maintain required educator-to-child ratios.
- Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
Specifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
