Role Overview
An MEP and construction team is seeking a skilled Duct Fabricator.
The role requires hands-on HVAC duct fabrication and installation experience, knowledge of materials and fabrication techniques, and the ability to work from drawings and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate HVAC ductwork according to approved drawings, dimensions, and specifications.
- Read HVAC/MEP drawings and duct layouts, and calculate required dimensions and materials.
- Cut, bend, form, and assemble GI sheet metal for ductwork and fittings.
- Inspect fabricated ductwork for dimensions, alignment, finishing, and defects.
- Install and assemble ductwork at project sites when required.
- Coordinate with HVAC technicians, installers, supervisors, and site engineers.
- Minimize material wastage and maintain fabrication tools and equipment.
- Follow site safety procedures, use PPE, and keep the work area organized.
- Report material requirements, fabrication issues, and technical discrepancies to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Hands-on Duct Fabricator experience in HVAC, MEP, or construction projects.
- Good practical knowledge of GI duct fabrication, measurements, dimensions, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read HVAC/MEP drawings, duct layouts, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Experience fabricating elbows, reducers, transitions, offsets, and other duct fittings.
- Ability to use common sheet-metal and duct fabrication tools.
- Experience on commercial, residential, or large-scale construction projects.
- Familiarity with duct materials, insulation requirements, and duct accessories.
- Experience coordinating fabrication with HVAC installation teams.
- Good understanding of ductwork installation and site coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a site or fabrication team.
- Knowledge of construction site safety requirements; UAE or GCC experience is advantageous.
Work Environment
- The position supports MEP and construction projects and may involve fabrication areas and project sites.
- The role requires compliance with site safety procedures and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
