Operate Dry Plant Machinery: Efficiently operate and control drying equipment, including but not limited to dryers, conveyors, and associated machinery.
Monitor Production: Continuously monitor production processes to maintain product quality and maximize efficiency. Adjust equipment settings as needed to meet production goals.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to prevent downtime and ensure safe and optimal operation. Report any maintenance needs or malfunctions promptly.
Quality Control: Inspect materials and products at various stages of the drying process to ensure they meet quality standards. Take corrective actions when necessary.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment maintenance, and any incidents or issues that may arise during your shift.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the production team, including supervisors and maintenance staff, to coordinate activities and achieve production targets.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas for enhancing productivity, efficiency, and safety.
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, overtime and holidays as needed
Must be able to read and write in English
Must be able to wear all required safety equipment
Must be able to communicate with hand signals and warning sounds, with coworkers regarding movement of vehicles and mobile equipment
Must be service oriented with proven ability to work in a TEAM environment
Must be able to follow instructions as well as make some independent decisions
Must be able to perform duties in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
Mechanical/welding knowledge preferred
This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, half mask respirator
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders on a repetitive basis
Must be able to stoop, bend and lift 50 lbs from ground to waist level on a repetitive basis
Must work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust, SAND and noisy conditions

Prior Dryer Operator experience preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Heavy equipment experience preferred
