About the Role

Responsibilities
- Ensure a complete and up to date inventory of available spare items and equipment is always maintained
- Keep a well documented log of all activities that are mobilized with the drilling unit
- Supervise the dismantling and demobilization of the drilling unit equipment and its maintenance during idle periods
- Maintain a log of equipment condition before and after piling activities to record and indicate specific equipment that requires maintenance work
- Liaise regularly with the Chief Mechanic to ensure the timely inspection and maintenance of equipment
- Take necessary actions to establish and maintain a safe working environment
- In the event of an emergency where potential risk is involved, carry out the drilling operation in an appropriate manner, ensuring the safety of the crew
- Ensure compliance with company codes and HSE standards
Requirements
- Secondary School Certificate with a discipline specific technical qualification, or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
- Business awareness
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Good communication skills
- Planning and organizing skills

Job Purpose
- The Drilling Supervisor is responsible for the overall safety and reliability of the equipment and crew, and for the effective and efficient management of drilling activities offshore.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure a complete and up to date inventory of available spare items and equipment is always maintained.
- Keep a well documented log of all activities that are mobilized with the drilling unit.
- Supervise the dismantling and demobilization of the drilling unit equipment and its maintenance during idle periods.

Educational Qualifications and Certifications
