- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drilling Programs Specialist to support drilling operations by developing optimized drilling programs, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest safety and technical standards.
- This role plays a critical part in well planning, drilling execution support, and performance optimization across drilling projects.
- 🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed drilling programs, procedures, and operational guidelines
- Develop casing, cementing, mud, and directional drilling plans
- Monitor drilling performance and recommend optimization strategies
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure well control compliance
- Coordinate with drilling contractors and service companies
- Review drilling reports, operational data, and technical documentation
- Support cost estimation, budgeting, and AFE preparation
- Troubleshoot drilling-related technical issues and provide engineering solutions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE standards, and industry regulations
- Participate in well planning meetings and operational reviews
- Support Management of Change (MOC) processes for drilling operations
- Analyze Non-Productive Time (NPT) and recommend corrective actions
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in drilling engineering and well planning within oil & gas operations
- Strong knowledge of drilling operations, well design, hydraulics, and well control
- Experience with drilling software and engineering calculations
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and drilling best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field
- IWCF / IADC certification preferred
