- Maintain and monitor the company’s Safety Management System (SMS)
- Ensure fleet compliance with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other international maritime regulations
- Act as a link between shipboard personnel and shore management regarding safety and operational matters
- Conduct internal audits onboard vessels and within shore based offices
- Prepare and support vessels during external audits, inspections, and vetting processes
- Investigate incidents, non conformities, and near misses; implement corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor compliance with Flag State, Class, and Port State Control requirements
- Participate in risk assessments and emergency response activities
- Organize safety trainings and meetings for crew members
- Prepare reports and provide recommendations to senior management
Requirements
- Previous sailing experience as Master, Chief Engineer, or relevant shore based maritime management experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a DPA role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of ISM Code, ISPS Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other international maritime regulations
- Experience with vetting inspections and external audits
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
- High sense of responsibility and leadership abilities
