Overview
Blue Hat HR Services seeks a Dockmaster to plan and control safe docking, undocking, berthing, and vessel-movement operations. The role requires expertise in marine operations, vessel stability, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing vessel particulars, docking plans, and operational constraints
- Planning dock preparation, blocks, services, lines, tugs, pumps, and manpower
- Conducting readiness reviews and confirming permits, communications, and emergency controls
- Directing docking, undocking, shifting, and berthing operations
- Monitoring vessel position, clearances, drafts, loads, and dock conditions
- Stopping operations where conditions differ materially from the approved plan
- Coordinating with clients, pilots, tug operators, HSE, production, and emergency resources
- Maintaining movement logs, checklists, incident records, and lessons learned
Qualifications / Experience / Desired Skills
- Marine deck-officer qualification or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant marine or drydock experience
- Experience handling floating docks with specific capacity
- Strong knowledge of vessel movements, dock systems, and stability
- Demonstrated leadership in complex, high-risk marine operations
- Compliance with HSE and IMS policies and procedures
