Job summary

The role spends significant time in operating theatre environments and acts as a liaison between customers and internal departments.
Principal duties and responsibilities
- Contact current and potential customers and respond to customer requests.
- Conduct product in-servicing and workshops and maintain relationships with key accounts.
- Manage primary and secondary sales in the designated territory and key accounts.
- Establish relationships with decision makers using competitor products.
- Present proposals and convert customers to Zimmer Biomet products.
- Prepare quotations and tender documentation and negotiate prices within management guidelines.
- Complete monthly, expense, and ad hoc reports.
- Coordinate with distributors, hospitals, sales management, and finance for customer service, order procurement, and receivables.
- Attend relevant workshops and operating theatre activities and complete learning assessments.
- Study clinical articles and data to provide relevant advice to customers and staff.
Background and qualifications
- Science graduate with 3–7 years of orthopedic experience.
- Qualifications in B.Pharma, business, marketing, or a paramedical discipline are preferred.
- Previous medical device or pharmaceutical sales experience, including orthopedics, capital equipment, or diagnostics.
- Demonstrated sales ability and successful selling to the medical profession.
- Working-level proficiency in the local language, English, or Hindi.
- Product and technical knowledge, commercial acumen, result orientation, communication skills, and tenacity.
- Ability to understand and work effectively in operating theatre environments.
Travel expectations
- Travel is expected 90% of the time.
