What you'll be doing The District Data Quality Analyst (DQA) is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of patient data in eMR via data quality audits, education, reporting, and trend analysis across HIS. This includes compiling, analysing, and reporting data for any adhoc data quality or health care record projects and incidents, providing training and support to staff on data entry and quality standards, supporting the District Clinical Information Quality Manager to develop guidelines and best practices for consistent and high quality health care data, assisting in the transition to new data or clinical information systems, and developing dashboards and standardised reporting tools. The District DQA also assists DQAs in the HIS site teams with auditing and data quality activities, to meet service KPIs, where required. It is noted that travel to sites across NSLHD may be required to assist during periods of leave or to assist with specific projects.
The position is expected to undertake independent decision making and problem solving and possess advanced communication skills to develop procedures and liaise with stakeholders in accordance with their role and responsibilities in consultation with the District Clinical Information Quality Manager, to ensure NSLHD quality standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved. Demonstrated experience and knowledge in conducting auditing activities, particularly in auditing digitised records.
