Role overview

Essential responsibilities

• Lead delivery of centralized solutions for critical and strategic initiatives, including reference architectures and baseline implementations.
• Develop and promote reusable standards, guardrails, and implementation architectures across the enterprise.
• Guide secure abstraction-layer and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for cloud deployment.
• Create, plan, and communicate roadmaps with management, stakeholders, and the team.
• Consult with development groups to modernize business applications and support AI-driven solutions.
• Mentor engineers and architects and align planned solutions with business objectives.
• Partner with Cyber Security and Risk groups to implement security guardrails, controls, and standards.

Essential skills needed

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 15 years of technology experience, including at least five years as a Cloud Architect.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale GCP and/or AWS solutions, including application migrations.
• Advanced GCP and/or AWS expertise and experience with data platforms including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and big data solutions.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps or DevSecOps, CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, GenAI, and RAG.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, IAM, security models, and distributed-system design.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or PHP.
• Ability to influence executive leadership and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred and additional qualifications

• Experience with Harness, agent development, security principles, and secure architecture concepts is preferred.
• Fluency in English and languages relevant to the working market may apply where applicable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
