What You Will Do
- Own commitments, sequencing, capacity, and cross-team dependencies across product engineering teams.
- Manage and develop Team Leads and drive performance, growth, compensation input, succession planning, and team health.
- Own engineering hiring, selection, onboarding, and leadership bench development.
- Improve planning, delivery rhythms, throughput, predictability, service ownership, incident learning, testing, automation, observability, and release discipline.
- Scale secure and measurable AI-assisted engineering across planning, implementation, testing, and review.
- Partner with Product and Technology leaders on priorities, capacity, architecture, standards, and execution.
- Manage engineering tooling, cloud and model consumption, contractor spend, vendors, access controls, reviews, and security requirements.
What You Bring
- Deep software engineering experience leading multiple teams and managing engineering leaders.
- A track record of converting strategy into credible plans while managing capacity, dependencies, risks, and delivery predictability.
- Experience hiring, coaching, evaluating, and developing engineers and leaders.
- Technical depth in design, architecture, trade-offs, estimates, and execution risks.
- Experience improving engineering practices, delivery metrics, and operational excellence.
- Practical experience with AI coding tools and agentic workflows, with responsible review practices.
- Strong cross-functional communication and experience managing resources, vendors, contractors, cloud costs, or tooling.
Additional Experience
- Experience with mobile, cloud, connected-device, or safety-focused products is an asset.
- Experience leading teams through growth or organizational change, or developing management capability in a Team Lead model, is an asset.
Compensation
- The annual base salary range is $200,000 to $220,000 CAD.
