Role overview
Lead DUCA’s Centre of Excellence and drive continuous process improvement and automation across the organization.
Partner with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements that enhance operational efficiency and employee and Member experience.
Key accountabilities
- Analyze data and performance baselines to identify process gaps, opportunities, and improvement solutions.
- Establish Centre of Excellence education, standards, best practices, resources, and performance metrics.
- Manage intake and prioritize process improvement, automation, and AI opportunities.
- Lead requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support for automation solutions.
- Develop project strategies covering benefits, costs, implementation, training, and project management.
- Facilitate training and workshops, assess readiness, manage expectations, and support adoption.
- Manage the project portfolio and prioritize deliverables according to business needs.
- Lead Lean implementation through standards, metrics, training, kaizen workshops, value stream management, and after-action reviews.
- Manage internal and member-facing forms using Microsoft Forms and Adobe.
Experience and education
- A university degree is preferred, ideally in Business Administration or a related field; an MBA is an asset.
- 5+ years leading process excellence and automation teams.
- 5+ years managing transformational projects in complex environments.
- 3–5 years of people management experience.
- Experience assembling cross-functional teams, leading through ambiguity, and establishing a Lean or process automation Centre of Excellence.
- Experience developing and implementing RPA solutions and championing new ideas.
- Lean Six Sigma, LSS Black Belt, Scrum, PMP, or Change Management certifications are assets.
- Blue Prism, UiPath, or Power Automate experience is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required; Microsoft Project familiarity is an asset.
Knowledge and attributes
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong ability to synthesize complex information and data.
- Strong influencing, negotiating, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, leadership, collaboration, training, and people management skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement techniques, systems, and processes.
Working conditions
- The posting lists a normal office environment and identifies the Corporate Office as the primary location.
Employment and compensation
- Employment status is Full-Time with 38 hours per week.
- Annual salary is CAD 102,250 to CAD 127,813, with possible discretionary bonuses.
