Role Overview

Financial Oversight and Reporting

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain internal controls and checks and balances.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Review financial performance and identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Budgeting and Analysis

• Lead annual budgeting and ongoing financial forecasting.
• Develop financial models for operational and strategic decisions.
• Provide variance analysis and actionable leadership insights.
• Support department heads with budgets and financial performance.
• Evaluate cost structures and expense-control opportunities.

Strategic and Operational Support

• Support long-range planning, capital investments, and business strategy.
• Support construction, renovation, and capital projects through budgeting, cash flow, and ROI analysis.
• Evaluate new opportunities, partnerships, and operational initiatives.
• Provide financial insight into pricing, labor, and operational decisions.

Cash Management and Team Leadership

• Oversee cash flow management and forecasting and maintain banking and lender relationships.
• Ensure liquidity for operations and capital needs.
• Support the Accounting Manager and accounting team.
• Work with operations, HR, and department leaders to promote financial accountability.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in senior finance leadership at a large Middle East resort or hospitality property.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or CA, CPA, or equivalent certification.
• Expertise in compliance, regulatory requirements, audit management, budgeting, forecasting, financial systems, internal controls, and governance.
• Ability to lead accounting teams, analyze financial data, solve problems, and present insights to senior leadership and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospitality, theme park, or water park experience is preferred.
• Capital project, construction budgeting, ROI analysis, cash flow, banking relationship, property management system, and integrated reporting experience is preferred.
