About the Role
The Director of IT Infrastructure is a senior leadership role with ownership of the infrastructure backbone supporting a complex multinational business.
The role spans network, cloud, and service desk functions and combines technical infrastructure expertise with commercial and leadership maturity.
The position operates at Group level across multiple geographies.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, performance, and delivery of IT infrastructure across network, cloud, and service desk functions.
- Lead and develop the internal leaders heading each infrastructure function.
- Build a high-performing infrastructure organization.
- Manage third-party outsourced vendors and hold them accountable for performance, service levels, and commercial terms.
- Own infrastructure budgets, including FinOps and cloud consumption and cost management.
- Drive reliability, security, and scalability across all infrastructure environments.
- Partner with senior technology and business leadership on strategic priorities.
- Establish governance, standards, and reporting for infrastructure performance and spend.
Requirements
- Deep technical knowledge of IT infrastructure across network, cloud, and service desk functions.
- Leadership maturity to run an infrastructure function at Group level across multiple geographies.
- Ability to lead and develop internal infrastructure leaders and build a high-performing organization.
- Commercial capability to manage outsourced vendors, budgets, service levels, and cloud consumption costs.
- Ability to align infrastructure capability with strategic technology and business priorities.
