Team/Role Overview

  • The Core Trade Network organisation covers Letters of Guarantee, Import/Export Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections.
  • The successful candidate will lead and manage the Middle East & Africa Network team.
  • This role reports into the Global Core Trade & Productivity Network Head.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team and collaborate with individuals within assigned countries, including people management, budget oversight, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate across key internal functions such as risk, finance, decision management, marketing, operations, and other Core Trade pillars.
  • Develop and execute functional strategies for the cluster as it relates to Core Trade.
  • Set cluster strategy as part of the overall global strategy, driving revenues and growth for Core Trade portfolio.
  • Provide leadership for Core Trade products and other relevant product lines within the cluster.
  • Continuously seek and implement simplification, global standards, local configuration, and digitization initiatives.
  • Accountable for cluster oversight of pipeline management and growth through collaboration with sales teams.
  • Ensure quality of trade product delivery in coordination with Operations and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with risk, business risk, compliance, and other relevant groups.
  • Partner with other global, regional, and country leaders to share best practices.
  • Appropriately assess risk in all business decisions.
  • Attract, motivate, develop, and retain executive talent within the teams.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in product management or a related field.
  • 8 10+ years of managerial experience, including leading multiple teams.
  • Proven experience managing across multi function or global business units.
  • Demonstrated experience managing within a large, complex, and matrixed organizational structure.
  • Superior analytical and credit skills, coupled with extensive knowledge of Citigroup credit processes.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and internal/external negotiation skills.
  • Strong people management and business development skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the industry, banking, and investment products.
  • Excellent product knowledge, particularly in trade products.
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
