Responsibilities:
- Build, lead, and develop a rapidly growing team of power, analog, mixed-signal, and digital electrical engineers
- Define the organization’s hiring plan, technical capabilities, engineering standards, and design review practices
- Plan staffing, priorities, schedules, and resource allocation across programs
- Lead the development of electronic system architectures and associated trade studies to meet performance, SWaP-C, manufacturability, reliability, schedule, and qualification requirements
- Provide technical leadership across high-speed digital, analog and mixed-signal electronics, power conversion and distribution, PCB design, signal and power integrity, and EMI/EMC
- Resolve complex cross-disciplinary issues involving electrical hardware, FPGA and embedded software interfaces, RF circuits, thermal design, mechanical packaging, manufacturing, and test
- Lead hardware integration, verification, qualification, transition to rate production, failure investigation, and field support
- Serve as the senior electrical engineering representative to program leadership, customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners
- Remain hands-on and personally contribute to critical architecture, design, integration, and troubleshooting activities as needed
- Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience leading and developing engineering teams responsible for complex, high-reliability electronics
- Background developing electronics for aerospace, defense, radar, electronic warfare, missile, space, or similarly demanding applications
- Deep expertise in at least one electrical engineering discipline, with sufficient breadth to lead high-speed digital, analog and mixed-signal, and power electronics development
- Experience developing complex electronic systems incorporating technologies such as FPGAs, processors, memory, data converters, high-speed interfaces, power conversion, and analog signal chains
- Strong knowledge of PCB design, component selection, signal and power integrity, grounding, EMI/EMC, derating, and design for manufacturability
- Experience leading hardware from architecture and detailed design through bring-up, integration, qualification, production, and failure investigation
- Familiarity with applicable aerospace standards, including MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1275, and RTCA/DO-160
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- Preferred Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience building or rapidly scaling an electrical engineering team
- Experience developing avionics or RF sensor electronics
- Experience with signal-integrity or power-integrity analysis tools such as HyperLynx, Sigrity, ADS, Ansys SIwave, or equivalent
- Experience with interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, Ethernet, JESD204, SERDES, and LVDS in high-reliability systems
- Experience establishing reusable architectures, design standards, analysis templates, qualification approaches, or technical review processes
- Experience managing external design partners, PCB fabrication and assembly suppliers, or other critical electronics suppliers
