Company Description Epsilon is seeking a Director of Analytics to join our Analytics Consulting (AC) practice, part of the Analytic Services team, focused on our Financial Services clients.
The Director provides a clear, strategic, forward-looking vision based on data and analytics that enables effective decision making and delivers measurable business impacts.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Data Science, AI, Strategy, Client Services, Product, and Delivery teams to translate complex marketing and media challenges into scalable analytic solutions.
You will support consultative client engagements, define measurement approaches for paid and owned channels, and help clients adopt Epsilon’s analytic capabilities, proprietary datasets, cleanroom environments, and media measurement solutions.
The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, data-driven, team player that can develop and execute complex analytic solutions to support insights, activation, and measurement for our clients.
The Director candidate has excellent communication skills, and can coordinate a talented team of analytic associates in the execution and delivery of our products and services.
Responsibilities
Serve as a client-facing lead for Analytic Services across Financial Service relationships of varying size and complexity Define paid media measurement strategies for brand, performance, and customer-level campaigns, creating alignment on KPI frameworks, success metrics, and reporting expectations across client and internal stakeholders Translate complex methodologies, including experimentation, causal inference, attribution, segmentation, predictive modeling, incrementality, and closed-loop measurement, into clear, client-friendly insights and guidance Partner cross-functionally to deliver advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions that improve marketing effectiveness across paid and owned media channels Collaborate with junior resources to manage the delivery of audience measurement and insights Coordinate onshore and offshore analytic consulting, data science, and junior analytics resources in designing, executing, validating, and delivering end-to-end analytics solutions Define measurement strategies for marketing campaigns, creating alignment on KPI frameworks across all interested stakeholders Partner with client’s marketing and analytic teams, understand their workstreams, and help interpret results and make optimization decisions across audience, offer, creative, etc. Develop and communicate actionable insights, optimization recommendations, executive-ready narratives, and quantifiable business impact to clients and senior stakeholders Access and analyze data in Epsilon’s proprietary tools, PeopleCloud, cleanroom environments, CDPs, and other data platforms to measure audience quality, media exposure, campaign outcomes, online and offline sales impact, and customer behavior Develop an understanding of Epsilon’s current analytic capabilities, marketing platforms, and proprietary datasets Communicate and manage project execution (timeliness, quality, communication, creative solutioning, etc.) with your client and analytic leaders Collaborate effectively with internal teams including Analytics, Consulting, Client Services, Product, Technology, Data Science, AI, and Delivery to deliver integrated solutions Coach, mentor, and develop analytics team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on client value, innovation, and continuous improvement Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing Analytics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related disciplines) 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning, with strong preference for marketing analytics experience Deep understanding of customer-level marketing analytics, audience creation, segmentation, campaign performance measurement, testing, attribution, incrementality, closed-loop measurement, and optimization Ability to design and execute analyses using large record-level datasets, including advertising impressions, site visitation, audience attributes, campaign activity, online sales, offline sales, and customer behavior data Experience measuring audience performance using first-party data, Epsilon-owned data assets, CDPs, cleanroom environments, media exposure data, and other combined data sources Working knowledge of statistical methods, experimental design, hypothesis testing, causal inference, predictive modeling, segmentation, and marketing measurement methodologies Demonstrated experience analyzing paid media performance across channels such as programmatic, search, social, display, connected TV, experiential, and out-of-home, including understanding how these channels contribute to digital and broader marketing measurement Proficiency with SQL, Python, or similar data manipulation and analytic tools Strong planning, prioritization, and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple analytics projects, requests, timelines, and resources concurrently Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to simplify complexity, foster dialogue across teams, and present analytic findings in a clear, compelling, business-focused manner Skilled in data visualization and executive-level storytelling to communicate the value of analytics to senior stakeholders Proven ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams including Strategy, Client Services, Product, Technology, Data Science, AI, Delivery, and Analytics Highly motivated, collaborative, intellectually curious, and results-oriented, with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and client value realization Natural curiosity for exploring data and finding the untold story Ability to simplify complexity, communicate clearly and teach others ADDITIONAL USEFUL, BUT NOT REQUIRED, SKILLS Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics, or a related quantitative field Familiarity with Databricks or similar large-scale analytics platforms Experience with data visualization tools and executive reporting environments Experience with media mix modeling, fractional attribution, multi-touch attribution, brand lift, incrementality testing, sales lift, and other marketing measurement solutions Experience working in the Financial Services sector, specifically with regards to FCRA data limitations Click here This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
