Digital Learning Specialist

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design and develop digital learning programs, courses, modules, and learning resources.
• Translate learning objectives and business requirements into digital learning experiences.
• Develop e-learning content, interactive modules, videos, presentations, assessments, and simulations.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather, structure, and validate content.
• Design learning journeys, course structures, storyboards, scripts, and instructional materials.
• Configure and maintain content in Learning Management Systems and learning platforms.
• Apply instructional design, adult learning, and learner-centered design principles.
• Develop assessments, knowledge checks, simulations, and interactive activities.
• Monitor engagement, completion rates, assessment results, and learning effectiveness.
• Analyze learning data and improve content, learner experience, and program performance.
• Align programs with organizational goals through collaboration with HR, L&D, IT, and business teams.
• Support onboarding, compliance, technical, leadership, and professional development programs.

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage digital learning projects, timelines, content reviews, testing, and publishing.
• Ensure content is accessible, user-friendly, responsive, and compatible across devices.
• Maintain learning content libraries, course documentation, version control, and digital assets.
• Research emerging learning technologies, AI tools, instructional methods, and digital education trends.
• Identify opportunities to improve learning delivery through automation, personalization, analytics, and new technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in digital learning, e-learning, instructional design, Learning and Development, training, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning, learner engagement, and digital education.
• Experience developing e-learning courses, interactive content, training videos, assessments, or digital learning resources.
• Experience working with Learning Management Systems and digital learning platforms.
• Strong content development, writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for evaluating learning effectiveness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts, HR, L&D, IT, and business teams.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
• Experience with multimedia tools such as video editing, presentation, graphic design, or animation software is advantageous.
• Understanding of digital accessibility standards and responsive learning design is preferred.
• Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, LMS integrations, or learning technology standards is advantageous.
• A bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning and Development, Human Resources, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in instructional design, digital learning, LMS administration, or learning technologies are advantageous.
