Are you ready to explore the world of aerospace and defense? Do you want to learn from and collaborate with some of the greatest minds in the industry? At RTX, our internships, co-ops and full-time careers provide an exceptional foundation to work on complex problems, advance your skills and create a safer, more connected world. Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX.
At Raytheon, The Effector Digital Products (EDP) department develops electronics for our weapon system products. We engage at the outset of the weapon system development and follow our designs through deployment. Our products are deployed all over the world, from the ground to exoatmospheric environments and into space. We are responsible for the architecture, design, and documentation of deliverable FPGA embedded processing at Raytheon.
The Digital Design Engineer in the Effector Digital Products department designs digital electronic circuit cards and electronic units, which are supported from proposal through transition to production. Our systems are subject to environments ranging from the frigid, sub-zero vacuum of space, to the blistering heat of the desert floor, to the high pressures of the ocean depths. We are seeking electrical engineer interns willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today’s cutting-edge technology to design digital electronic circuits that implement missile guidance, video and digital signal processing. Our technology base includes high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and homogeneous / heterogeneous multiprocessor designs.
What You Will Do:
Hardware Design: Assisting in the design of digital circuits for use in missile systems or other effector products, focusing on components like field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), and embedded processors.
System Integration: Supporting the integration of digital hardware with other system components, such as software, sensors, and analog systems, to ensure seamless operation.
Testing and Validation: Conducting laboratory testing and validation of digital designs, including signal integrity analysis, timing analysis, and debugging hardware issues.
