Key skills for this role
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and emissions equipment
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on medium and heavy-duty trucks and specialty equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and prioritize repairs to keep equipment operational
Respond to road calls and breakdowns when needed
Coordinate parts ordering and outside vendor repairs
Document repairs and maintenance using Fleetio fleet management software
Support fleet reliability and safety initiatives as we continue improving our maintenance operations
Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards
5+ years of experience in diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Experience working on medium/heavy-duty trucks and hydraulic systems
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (CDL preferred, but not required)
Experience with fleet maintenance software preferred
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
