• Member in good standing of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) or a future graduate actively pursuing registration with the CMRITO. • Graduate of an accredited program of Medical Imaging – Diagnostic Medical Sonography (unless a future graduate or student). • Current registration with Sonography Canada, or eligibility upon graduation. • Possess valid liability insurance as defined by the CMRITO, or eligible to obtain liability insurance upon registration. • Initiative, organizational, and decision-making skills are essential. • Strong computer skills. • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal courteously and effectively with physicians, patients, and other members of the healthcare team. • Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload. • Must be available to work all shifts including weekends, stat holidays and on call. • Must have a satisfactory Criminal Record / Vulnerable Sector Check. For internal applicants, attendance and disciplinary records will be considered.
Strength • Required Frequently – lifting and carrying, pushing/pulling. Mobility • Required Frequently – standing and walking on hard surfaces. • Required Occasionally – walking, crouching/squatting. • Required Frequently –bending/stooping, bending, twisting/turning, reaching. Dexterity • Required Frequently - handling objects, gripping/grasping, neck, elbow, shoulder and wrist movement. • Required Frequently – fine finger movement.
