DevSecOps Engineer

Lead the deployment, configuration, and integration of the Rancher product portfolio within complex government cloud and on-premise environments.

Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) workflows to streamline application delivery and cluster management.

Perform deep-level troubleshooting of Kubernetes clusters, container networking, and security configurations.

Collaborate with customer technical teams to ensure Rancher solutions are optimized for their specific mission requirements. Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, providing guidance on best practices for container orchestration, security hardening, and DevSecOps workflows. Develop proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate the value of Rancher and adjacent open-source technologies in solving specific agency challenges. Translate customer requirements into technical tasks and ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones. Leverage deep technical knowledge of virtualization infrastructure and security protocols to deploy, improve, and harden complex infrastructure against rigorous government standards. Develop reusable scripts and templates to build rapid development and test systems, ensuring consistent and repeatable environments for rapid prototyping. Assist in the resolution performance issues; working with developers to troubleshoot application deployment failures to ensure mission readiness Assist in providing guidance to fellow DevSecOps developers and administrators while interfacing effectively with multiple technical disciplines in a team environment.

Work closely with the Senior DevSecOps team to provide feedback from the field to influence product roadmaps.

Help mentor Associate engineers and participate in peer code/architecture reviews.
