Role Overview
Improve the development environment by implementing infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
Help the development team adopt DevOps practices and modern cloud-based delivery processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop the organization's CI/CD pipeline.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code scripts and improve automation from design through delivery.
- Participate in team design discussions and collaborate with developers and testers.
- Design and develop connectivity for microservices.
- Write and review functional requirements, design documents, and system requirement specifications.
- Develop mockups and prototypes when needed.
- Operate cloud environments and migrate applications toward infrastructure as code.
- Oversee, monitor, and manage Kubernetes clusters for performance and resource efficiency.
- Manage the ELK stack, MongoDB, Redis, RDBMS, and other databases.
- Reduce cloud infrastructure costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
- Monitor cloud resources and applications for performance, availability, and security.
- Manage incidents through resolution and conduct post-incident reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud deployment and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Expertise with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Expertise with managed services such as Google Cloud Functions, Google Cloud Run, and Google Cloud SQL, or AWS equivalents.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Experience with microservices using Spring Cloud is preferred.
- Strong capability in code automation, CI/CD implementation, and cloud application management.
Collaboration and Standards
- Work in an agile environment with changing requirements.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams and provide training on DevOps tools and practices.
- Ensure systems and processes comply with security standards and industry best practices.
- Keep current with emerging trends and technology changes.
