Role Overview

The DevOps Engineer will join the Development team and support secure, reliable application development and delivery.

The role focuses on CI/CD, DevOps architecture, deployment automation, application security, cloud infrastructure, and collaboration across technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create architecture diagrams, documentation, and standards for DevOps processes and tools.
  • Automate application development, testing, release, and deployment into runtime environments.
  • Contribute to security best practices for application development.
  • Design and manage decoupled environments for application and infrastructure development.
  • Assess and optimize the technology stack against industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams.
  • Mentor fellow engineers in gaining DevOps experience and responsibilities.
  • Contribute to a friendly and helpful company culture.

Requirements

  • Ability to work with people across various locations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Uncompromising integrity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
  • Enjoyment of programming and willingness to embrace cloud technologies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Four or more years of DevOps engineering experience.
  • Solid experience with Jenkins, Ubuntu, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Shell, and Python scripting.
  • Experience managing infrastructure and application deployment across cloud providers.
  • Experience with CI/CD patterns.
  • Strong networking experience with TCP/IP, WAN, gateways, switching, routing, and cloud networking.

Additional Technical Experience

  • Experience with one or more of virtualization or container environments, infrastructure as code, configuration and provisioning management, monitoring, or logging and analytics tools.
  • Preferred tools and technologies include Jenkins, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, Chef, Terraform, Sensu, Python, Go, Rust, Elasticsearch, and Cassandra.
