Role Overview
EA SPORTS is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for its technical team.
The role designs, deploys, and operates public cloud solutions integrated with corporate backend infrastructure and services.
The position supports large-scale, always-on systems and includes on-call rotations.
Responsibilities
- Design secure, scalable, and supportable solutions and deployment models.
- Participate in sprint planning, engineer development reviews, goal setting, and technical mentoring.
- Review and approve internal and partner technical plans and work plans.
- Support always-on gaming server infrastructure and on-call coverage for launches and live events.
- Troubleshoot complex deployment, connectivity, performance, and availability issues.
- Lead automation initiatives and evaluate technologies that improve team efficiency.
- Maintain system documentation, procedures, and live-support runbooks.
Qualifications
- Six or more years of relevant public cloud services experience, primarily with GCP and GKE; AWS is also acceptable.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and operating critical always-on cloud systems.
- Expertise with Kubernetes, GKE, Helm, and Docker.
